    First Outing Identifies Work Remaining

    A young Providence Panthers played their first game of the 2021 season against the South Meck Sabres.  In a 5-43 loss, team captain and fly-half Zach Martindale scored the only Providence try.  Open-side flanker Will Mahaffey led the team in tackles with 10.

    Providence Finishes 3rd in the state for the 2nd consecutive year.

    The Providence Rugby Club defeated South Meck 22-18 to win the “State Plate” at Rocky River High School. The win avenged an earlier regular-season loss and assured Providence 3rd Place in the NC High School Rugby Association.
